J&J DESIGNS PRACTICAL POLICIES

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY... this is our 'fine print' for some of our services so that there are no surprises to you.

BUSINESS CARDS:

J&J Designs may offer free design on business card design with orders of 500 cards or more. This is a courtesy offer to help new businesses save money and is only available when businesses use our printing services. When/if a client wishes to use another printer (outside of J&J Designs printing resources), J&J Designs has the right to charge regular design fees for the design of the business cards. This design fee is due upon receipt of invoice when client informs J&J of their printing preferences.

WEBSITE DESIGN:

J&J Designs website design service charges 50% down prior to starting design due upon agreed start-up date and agreed price, and 50% balance owing upon completion of website prior to website going on-line. Added features (feature creep) outside agreed price and agreed design is charged extra on the balance owing.

J&J Designs is not responsible for website hosting.

It is the right of J&J Designs to display their contact information and/or a "designed by J&J Designs" statement with a link to the J&J Designs website. Request for removal will be granted upon written request and may be subject to termination of website maintenance by J&J Designs.

Website maintenance performed by J&J Designs is billed quarterly unless major and unforeseen changes to site design & navigation changes are required.

ARTWORK OWNERSHIP (YOUR RIGHTS):

J&J Designs releases all rights of ownership to artwork designs such as logo design, business card design, postcard design and any other print media once invoice is paid by the client. Exception: Client may purchase the rights to the business card design for the above 'free' design offer at regular design rates upon request.

A copy of owned artwork on CD is available to all clients upon request. Artwork files will be given as editable pdf files unless otherwise requested. Logo files will be given as jpg, pdf and vector (ai and/or eps). Website files will be given in their entirety to ensure smooth transition to other design parties.

We collect personal information by input that is provided by our clients who gives us his personal information on a free basis. Clients who uses one of our services must provide us with personal information such as name, address, e-mail address and phone number for different marketing & design purposes.

How do we use your personal information?

If you submit personal information, you agree that we may keep a record of this personal information. These records are strictly for internal use by J&J Designs. Inherent to our business, we shall also make use of the possibility to provide you with information about are new products and services.

We do not sell, trade, rent or disclose individually-identifiable information obtained about our clients and website visitors to anyone outside of J&J Designs, unless it is required by law, regulation, court order or other legal process. We do not disclose your personal information unless it is necessary to protect safety of customers, employees or property.

How do we use your design materials?

By signing J&J Designs artwork proof(s), you agree to allow us to issue artwork materials to third parties and other source providers. We do not trade or promote artwork materials to anyone outside of J&J Designs without your express written permission.
